The Blessing Of Friends
Poor is the man who does not have a friend,
Sad is the man with none on whom he can depend.
Poor is the man with only wealth and fame,
Who has no friends that always remain the same.
Though a man have none of this world's silver and gold,
Yet, if he has friends, he has more than wealth untold.
Friends will love you when you're good and when you are bad.
Good friends will stick with you thru thick and thin,
And they will stand by you no matter what trouble you are in.
Jesus Christ is a true friend when you may have not other,
The Bible says he is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Jesus loves you when no one else seems to care,
He gives guidance and our burdens He doth gladly share.
May god help me to be a real friend to those who come my way,
Help me to be a friend like Jesus every passing day.
